During your first appointment at Crestwood Chiropractic Clinic, which will last approximately an hour, Dr. G. J. Bourdon will learn about your detailed health history and ask you about your primary concerns. Then, Dr. Bourdon will conduct a physical exam that includes neurological testing, ranges of motion, appropriate orthopedic tests, and muscle and joint palpation. In some cases, we may choose to refer you to an X-ray lab for X-rays.
From all this information, we will determine a diagnosis and explain the findings to you while working on an appropriate plan of management to resolve your issue. Most treatments will consist of some combination of soft tissue therapy, chiropractic adjustments, and exercises that you can do at home.
Crestwood Chiropractic Clinic can also offer custom orthotics. These are useful for lower body issues where your gait may be incorrect and causing you pain. A custom orthotic aims to correct positional issues in your feet, which can lead to improvement in hips, knees, ankles, and more.
Many people don’t even realize that there may be something wrong with their spine. Stresses on your spine and vertebral subluxations may come without overt symptoms and yet it might still be affecting your life in significant ways. It may limit your range of motion or even just lead to a feeling of something not being quite right without knowing what that thing really is. At Crestwood Chiropractic Clinic, we aim to diagnose and treat the problem so that you can go back to feeling your best self.
